Ryan graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2014 with BSC (hons) in Paramedic Science, after gaining experience on the road. He then went on to work as a clinical advisor for the 111 service, which he continues to do alongside his current role at Mayfield Medical Centre, where he has been a paramedic practitioner since 2017. In 2018, he went on to study at UWE, as an Emergency Care Practitioner, completing at masters level. To continue to expand his lnowledge and skills he is currently undertaking his non-medical prescribing with UWE. His long term goal is to gain his full Masters. When not working, Ryan enjoys his young family, watching rugby and going to the gym.
I joined Mayfield Surgeries in June 2019 after 26 years as a Paramedic with South Western Ambulance. Service. During my time with SWAST I trained as a Clinical Support Officer, Bronze Commander for Major Incidents and undertook additional training as a Motorcycle Paramedic. I am originally from Barnsley, Yorkshire (so you might hear a slight twang!). I am married to Alison and we are currently in the process of expanding our family with a puppy, (Ali made me write the puppy bit!!). I enjoy various water sports including kayaking, scuba diving, swimming etc. We look forward to the winter months so we can go skiing again. Interesting fact: Kayaking - (competed at slalom discipline - nationally - in my youth)
