Practice Manager: Colin Whitford
Colin joined the surgery on 5th July 2004. He is married with two children, enjoys socialising with friends and family and enjoys Rugby and Golf.He had a long career with NatWest Bank as a Branch Manager, Business Manager, Mortgage Adviser, Premium Banking Manager and Financial Planning Manager. The traditional role of the Practice Manager has evolved since merging and taking on two additional surgeries. Colin now has more of a strategic role whilst continuing to support the Financial, Business, General ASue Vaughton.
Business Manager: Dawn Hart
Dawn is our main administrator responsible for the smooth running of the surgery both from a business aspect as well as clinical. She has considerable IT skills which make her a much valued asset to Mayfield. She is helped by John Westerman who works hard ensuring we have enough stocks and supplies and that the surgery runs smoothly.
Reception Manager: Sam Vernon
Sam joined the surgery in July 2006. Sam came from the hospitality industry and started with us as a receptionist. Sam is now our Reception Manager, looking after a team of reception/telephonists managing a very busy and demanding telephone service. Sam also manages the complaints that we are occasionally faced with on behalf of the Doctors and staff. Sam enjoys spending time outdoors with her young daughter, live musical entertainment events and socialising with her friends.
Office Manager: Sarah Medd
Sarah has worked in General Practice for four years bringing with her a wealth of management and office experience from her previous role. Sarah is our Office Manager who oversees the administration team, premises issues and works closely with the Practice Manager and lead clinicians producing the rotas for the clinical team. Sarah also works closely with our Reception Manager, Sam Vernon. Outside of work Sarah enjoys photography and walking, especially on the beach/coast path.
