You can’t really be sure what you have bought, or been given, or what effect it’s likely to have on you. We known that the use of many like ‘Clockwork Orange’, ‘Bliss’, ‘Mary Jane’ 'Mephedrone' , 'Ivory Wave', and '5-IT' have been directly linked to emergency hospital admissions, and in some cases, deaths.
Torbay Hospital and Mayfield Medical Centres are seeing an increasing number of patients having bad effects of these drugs, including a recent admission to Intensive Care and a teenager with a Stroke.
These drugs used to be sold as ‘legal highs’ but they have been found to contain one or more substances that are, in fact, illegal.

We are pleased to let you know that we are working closely with the Old Farm Surgery just down the road. For example, we have the same Practice Manager, Colin Whitford, and we are sharing a Paramedic (Ryan) who is helping with visits, as well as sharing some GP and Nurse resources and administrative support.
The NHS is constantly changing, and part of this are significant financial cuts, so we are doing this in order to ensure the long term sustainability of General Practice in this area.
